La Vuelta a España 2025 has been a historic edition, not only due to its sporting challenge but also because of the major technological demands it has entailed. Telefónica, the event’s technology partner, announced that this has been the most complex edition to date in terms of connectivity and data management, essential to ensure seamless coverage of an increasingly digital and globally followed competition.
The race has passed through urban areas, rural regions, and high-mountain environments, required robust, flexible, and high-capacity telecommunications infrastructures capable of supporting critical data traffic for real-time broadcasting, event operations, security, and fan engagement.
3dB’s Contribution to the Network Deployment
Within this context, 3dB consult has actively participated in the TX design of connectivity solutions for two key stages of La Vuelta 2025, helping to ensure network reliability in locations with particularly challenging geographical conditions:
